Betty Halbreich gives a discerning side-eye

An homage to arguably the classiest department store in history, Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorf’s was a palatable way to spend my Tuesday evening (made even more palatable accompanied by exactly one leftover Insomnia Cookie). The documentary serves to bring the behind-the-scenes madness to the masses; an insider look at the making of their yearly Christmas windows rings a particularly nostalgic bell. The only thing better than seeing fashion royalty (a certain Hilfiger’s daughter) be flat-out rejected from their buying team was personal shopper Betty Halbreich’s hysterically witty commentary. I’d pay for a Netflix upgrade if it meant a Betty-based reality show (or stand-up act; let’s be real, she’s hilarious).
